WOW! It's November 30! 2007!
I am constantly amazed at how fast time flies. Oh my goodness. Where in the world did November go?? It seems like it was just summer 2 weeks ago. And now we're talking about Christmas?? Thankfully, I have an early start on things! I have most of my Christmas shopping done. I'm almost done with our Christmas cards (which need to go out in the mail TOMORROW). Dan decided that he doesn't want to have a Christmas tree this year. ??Who knows why. He says we have a Christmas Piano, and we can put the presents on top of it. Ahhh.... yes, because that makes a lot of sense. A Christmas Piano... Ok! I can work with that!
Thanksgiving went really well :) Dan's family came to Des Moines!! WOW! And Cheryl and I made dinner. We had CHICKEN (yum!), corn casserole, green bean casserole, potatoes, and biscuits. I think that was all. Hmm.. my potatoes were pretty salty, apparently. Yuck. So no one ate them. We through them out. Oh well :). We went antique shopping and I found ... what did I find..? .... I really can't rememb- OH! We bought Dan this way cool dart board that is enclosed in a wooden case (looks like something out of a pub). I like it a lot. And I'm very good :). Only seldom do I completely miss the board and hit the wall. I think that should count for 100 points. Dan had a 14 hour day Saturday - SO, while he was gone, Bill and Cheryl decided they wanted to redo our basement as a present to him! Wow!!!! It looks so great. Very Drake Blue. He was SO SURPRISED! And relieved that he didn't have to do any of it :). Now all it needs is a sleeper couch and a big screen TV.
I joined an Anytime Fitness gym! Well, not officially. I'm actually still debating. I have a 2 week free trial. I love that they have trainers available and that I can get in anytime, whether it's 2 am or 2 pm, holiday or not. BUT Drake is so much cheaper ... and they have a pool, weight room, cardio machines, a gym, an indoor track, locker rooms, raquetball courts, etc. Ugh. Priorities, priorities. If I stick with Anytime Fitness, I could go to it even if I were in Indiana. Having complete access is very appealing to me, because I think I would be more apt to consistently go if I didn't have to adhere to the business' hours. IDK. (.... "idk, my bff Rose"! hahahahahahaha.....what's SO funny is that my Grandma really has a BFF Rose...) What do you think? Any of you guys go to the gym?
Well!! I might be moving back to Indiana for a few months. I need to finish my degree, and apparently there's a class that DMACC (Des Moines Area Community College) can't fulfill ... so the easiest thing would be for me to take what I need in the fall of 2008, probably staying with John and Kami to help with the babies, if that's OK with them. Fun! Dan would hopefully be able to drive out twice a month for a week. But we'll have to see and work out all the logistics. I'm so ready to finish my schooling! Just to have some closure, if nothing else.
What's new with you?
